It's that time again...the Canowindra Business and Progress Association (CBPA) will be running its Christmas Shopping in Canowindra Promotion in the lead up to the festive season.

The popular Canowindra Christmas Shopping Week will be once again be advertised throughout the region via Cabonne Council and Orange 360.

This year the CBPA will be offering Canowindra Christmas Shopping "Loyalty Cards" for the week.

When three stamps from three different purchases over $10 in the participating businesses are received the card can go into the draw for prizes.

Participating businesses will receive these loyalty cards and decorations to indicate their involvement.

On Thursday, November 18 the CBPA is hoping to have a late night "V.I.L- Very Important Locals" shopping evening.

"We would encourage you to use your businesses social media, email or snail mail database to invite your customers to come out and enjoy a special night of shopping," a CBPA spokesperson said.

"You may want to collaborate with other local businesses.. for example, get "wine tasting" happening in your business or hire some of our amazing local musicians to perform.

"On Saturday, November 20 we are hoping to have busking in the street through the morning and twilight Christmas activities and the drawing of prizes.

"After the last year our community could use some joy, let's work together to make it something great."
