Jumping smartly Sonny Daze quickly found the front leading through-out to score in a best of the day 19.62 in a Grade 3-4 over 370 metres.
Chased all the way by Willy's Chance and kennel mate Aston Current, Sonny Daze showed a lot of fight to hang on for the win by one and three quarter lengths to the second placegetter with a further length back to Aston Current in third place.
Owned by Bonnie Webb, Sonny Daze took his race record to 14 wins and 24 minor placings from 65 starts with the Goulburn win.
Sonny Daze and Aston Current have both been racing in great form with both dogs picking up prizemoney cheques at their past three starts.
Also at Goulburn on Friday, Rare Talent backed up a brilliant win at Bathurst the previous Monday for Woodstock trainer Darren Wort with another impressive victory.
A greyhound blessed with brilliant early speed Rare Talent exploded out to lead running away to score in 19.86 improving her race record to five wins from just eight starts with three minors, her wins coming at Bathurst, Dubbo and Goulburn since making her race debut at Bathurst in September this year.
