The team, consisting of students from Year 2 to Year 6, competed at the Orange Aquatic Centre against nine regional schools.
St Edward's principal Ken MacNamara said it was an amazing achievement for a small school.
"As a small school we are never in the running of winning the overall champion school because that goes to the larger schools," he said.
"But for the last two years, we've been able to win the overall point score and for a small school, it's an incredible achievement by these children.
"It says a lot about our school swimming program but also our local swimming program, with regards to training afternoons and our Canowindra Swim Club that meets every Friday.
"That's got a lot to do with the success of our students at the school.
"And not only did they win the overall points score trophy but the aggregate trophy as well which they secured for the fourth year in a row."
With 11 students and their two boys relay teams progressing through to the Diocesan Swimming Carnival in Dubbo on March 9, Mr MacNamara said the school was aiming to continue their Southern Region success next year.
"I know the kids put so much effort in, do their best," he said.
"So to be rewarded not only with the aggregate trophy but to win the overall point score is a real thrill for them.
"That excitement could be see in the cheer they gave at the end of the carnival when the trophies were presented.
"The students of St Edward's are incredibly proud of their achievements."
