The Pythons warmed up for the season opener with trials at the Cumnock Rugby Day against Molong and Sydney club Easts on March 2.
"I'm really happy," coach Tom Roth said of the team's performance on the day.
Senior Python and team manager Ollie Groves singled out Hayden Hewitt for special mention.
"Every time the ball was thrown at him and he had a crack at it. He didn't back down once," Groves said.
"The forward were dominant and Micky Howarth at he back, he was unreal," Roth added.
A highlight for the Pythons in the two games was the side putting together 11 phases in one of the matches, which resulted in a five pointer.

UNBEATEN CENTURY SECURES CRICKET GRAND FINAL SPOT
An unbeaten 147 not out from Hugh Breen has helped Canowindra secure the first spot in the Molong Crciket Association grand final for 2024.
Breen also stared with the ball taking 3-33 with support from Aaron Fisher 2-44 and Brendan Traves 1-34.
Canowindra easily accounted for their semi final opponents Country in their semi final played at the Oval on Saturday.
After Country put on a more than competitive 7-195 Canowindra chased down the target losing just four wickets along the way to finish 4 for 200.
The other semi final resulted in a rare tie with Magpies 10 for 146 tied with Millthorpe 10 for 146.
Millthorpe appeared to be cruising chasing the 147 for victory at 3 for 114 thanks to excellent batting from James Milner, Mark Dicker and Nick Crowley. However when they departed, Millthorpe lost their remaining seven wickets for just 32 runs with the match ending in a remarkable tie.
Magpies as the higher placed team going into the match go through to the final.
