Ava was among a select few 2023 HSC students to be recognised for their major projects' creativity, design and construction skills during a special awards ceremony.
Running from March 19 through to May 17 on Pier 2/3 at the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct in Sydney the free exhibition showcases a selection of students' exemplary 2023 HSC major projects from Design and Technology, Industrial Technology and Textiles and Design.
Opening the exhibition inventor Macinley Butson told the students "this project, which is an incredible feat, is just the start of your journey, some of your may go to university, some may go to TAFE, some may start their own businesses, some may choose other paths, this is just the start".
"No matter what mark these students got for their major project, every single one of them put in effort. I can probably say for every single one of you there were times you wanted to give up, there were problems that you had to overcome.
"There may have been tears, blood, sweat in literal and metaphorical terms and we all have the opportunity to see the end product but what you don't see is the work that goes behind it for every single student. That is what I want to congratulate you for."
Thousands of students are expected to visit the exhibition.
