Thirty keen swimmers from year two to year six made up the St Eddies swimming squad, who made sure they did their school and families proud on Monday.
Taking on schools from Orange, Blayney, Molong, Manildra, Yeoval and Eugowra on the day, students performed exceptionally well and deserve much credit for their determination and enthusiasm to represent their school at this level of competition.
The ultimate team highlight must go to the St Eddies relay teams who gave everything to push the two bigger schools from Catherine McAuley and St Mary's Orange to the finish line. It was an exciting way to finish the day.
However, there were plenty of individual achievements by Campbell Arnott (50m Freestyle), Oscar Cleary (50m Freestyle), Harry Duguid (50m Breaststroke), Annabelle Pull (50m Butterfly), Lachlan Rice (50m Freestyle, Butterfly and Backstroke), Elsey Watson (50m Breaststroke) and Harper Watson (50m Freestyle).
These students will go on to represent our school and the Southern Region at the Diocesan Swimming Carnival in Dubbo on Friday.
The St Eddies cheer squad also need to be thanked for their support and encouragement on the day, making for a terrific carnival.
