This year's event saw six gardens open to the public on Saturday to raise funds for the Canowindra High School P&C. Organiser Bronwin Lay said all of the gardens looked beautiful even in the face of drought conditions.

"All of the gardens... were all varying and different and they all came up beautifully on the day despite all the drought conditions that we've had," she said.

"The numbers were down a little bit on previous years but still we had a good roll up and it was quite busy in the morning so it was nice.

"We've had a few people... that they were all very surprised about how lush the gardens were and that they were really amazed at how giving and thoughtful the garden owners were so that was a really good thing."

This year's event also featured stalls at the high school.

"The high schoolers put on display this year their artworks and they played music and stalls from the woodwork department and the ag department.

"There was heaps of involvement and lots of volunteers so it was a really good day. [I'd like to] thank the garden owners and all the people who volunteered."
