The Canowindra Branch of the CWA is a dynamic group of ladies dedicated to serving their community.
Proud president Betty Jenkins was thrilled with the win.
"I would like to really thank our members for their loyalty and hard work, this award is for them," she said.
"We have night meetings and we do lots of things, we are into everything.
"We refurbished our hall, we decided to keep it many years ago and it's really looking fantastic."
Every August the ladies hold a Sunday Serenade Concert in the Anglican Church.
They provide afternoon tea and raise funds for a music or voice scholarship for a Canowindra School child to assist in furthering their studies.
In July and August children enter the CWA international competitions.
In 2019 entries were judged by members and then prizes presented at an afternoon tea in the CWA rooms.
For the first time, Cargo Public School also entered.
Members enjoyed helping with school reading days.
The prizes were awarded at all three schools at their annual speech days in December for various categories.
They seek to empower women within their community, through fellowship, transfer of new and old traditional skills, and active support within the community.
